Ana Duran

(845) 364-3527   Ana.Duran@dfa.state.ny.us

Ana Duran is a Spanish Speaking case worker. She started in Rockland County Department of Health (RCDOH) in 2010 working with HIV\AIDS patients. She formed the first Spanish Speaking Support Group helping patients cope with the disease. She is also a trained Diabetes Prevention Life coach. Ms. Duran worked diligently with community partners to provide the first Spanish Diabetes Prevention class at RCDOH.

Ms. Duran is a firm believer in improving the lives of the citizens of Rockland County. To that end, in 2018, she joined the Rockland County Department of Social Services Adolescent Unit. She worked closely with local school districts to help improve Spanish Speaking at risk adolescent attendance and behavior. Ms. Duran also worked hard to prevent these at-risk youth from legal involvement.

In March 2021, Ms. Duran’s passion to help the underserved motivated her to join the Home Finding Unit. She enjoys helping children who have been neglected, abused and or traumatized find a home where they can find love, safety, and thrive. Her primary goal as a Home Finder is to find innovative ways to train the foster and adoptive families to become the best foster and adoptive parents they can be.
